The premium fabric is 100% permeable to air, water and nutrients so your plants will stay healthier and better nourished, without unnecessary competition from weeds.The fabric comes in a 2m x 5m pack; a 10cm allowance is recommended for any overlap and it should be secured with Anchor Pins. It can be laid around existing plants; smaller ones can be pulled through a crosscut made in the fabric with sharp scissors. Similarly, a new plant can be planted after cutting a cross in the fabric in its intended position. Once laid, the weed barrier fabric should be covered with at least 5cm (2”) of mulch – bark, wood chips, cocoa shell, gravel or even turf. If installed properly, this weed barrier is guaranteed to last 20 years.
